AATP remains involved in the fastener industry by participating in trade associations and attending shows and conferences across the country. Below is a list of the associations we currently belong to. We hope to network with our customers who are also members of these associations and are always on the lookout for new ways to stay involved in the industry.
Southwestern Fastener Association
The Southwestern Fastener Association is based out of Dallas, TX and holds annual meetings and conferences, networking happy hours, and educational opportunities. Business opportunities have been provided for distributors, manufacturers, importers, processors, technology and independent sales rep members throughout the US since 1975.
Mid-West Fastener Association
The Mid-West Fastener Association’s byline is “Where education is a priority.” By participating in the oldest fastener association in the US, AATP continues our education and industry involvement. As stated on their website, MWFA’s mission statement reads, “The MWFA’s purpose is to serve and promote the fastener industry and the ever-changing needs of its membership. Specifically, the MWFA is dedicated to representing all segments of the industry: manufacturers, distributors, importers, and suppliers to the industry.”
Specialty Tool and Fastener Distributors Association
STAFDA advances the specialty tool and fastener industry by holding educational and networking events as well as an annual conference and trade show. Being a part of this association allows AATP to participate in their annual conventions. This year the convention is in Nashville, TN from November 10-12. AATP will be in booth #425.
Women in the Fastener Industry
WiFI works to advance women at all levels of the industry. Networking and educational programs are an important part of this association, as are scholarships to help women grow their careers. In 2018, AATP’s Melody Keown was awarded the Ann Bisgyer Wolz Scholarship to attend the Fastener Training Institute to become a Certified Fastener Specialist.
